Hi! As you already know my name is Arvid, and I live in Copenhagen, Denmark. I study Physics at the University of Copenhagen, and when I get tired of that I spend my time in front of the computer, mostly working on various webbased projekts. I’ve also taken a couple of courses on DIKU (the department of computer science, still University of Copenhagen), but don’t tell that to anyone, many people on physics belive it’s an evil place, and I could come in trouble because of it.
Then what about the site?
Yeah – what about it? I made it for two reasons:
- I was bored
- I needed a place to put, and organize, everything I create on my computer
So – I made it! Because I was sick and tired of PHP I chose Ruby on Rails instead, which has proven to be a really useful. The only serious issue I really had with Rails was the fact that most hosting companies supporting rails was either to expensive, or didn’t spend enough time on getting Rails to run properly on their system (aka a bad rails host). However, at last I found railsplayground.com which I think is really nice, and not to expensive.
